Frigidaire FFFR560
This refrigerator has the appearance of a luxury appliance without its premium price tag. The counter-depth of this fridge gives you the look of a built-in refrigerator at a cheaper cost than a custom fridge. It also does a good job of hiding the water dispenser and the ice maker behind a fake panel. This makes it appear more streamlined than models that display the appliances. However, it has some minor design flaws that keep it from being as great as it could be.
This Frigidaire fridge is counter-depth. It is able to lose 7 cubic feet of usable space compared to a Gallery refrigerator with standard depth measurements. This is a big sacrifice especially for a fridge that is priced at close to $3500.
However, the fridge still does a great job of maintaining stable temperatures in both its cooling and freezer compartments. It also performed well on our spill test by keeping liquids like water contained, even on the top shelves.
The Frigidaire is a fantastic choice if you want an French-door refrigerator that has a large, customizable drawer that flexes. It has a smudge-proof steel finish, and its left door is smaller than the right one, making it easier to reach the controls of the fridge. The flex drawer has different temperature settings, so it can be used as a cooler, a freezer, or to chill drinks or wine.
This fridge is easy-to-use however, it's not as intuitive as the other refrigerators we have tested. It has an electronic panel with a simple design and offers many useful features. For instance you can change the door bins left to right, and there's an option to turn on the freezer in turbo mode to provide a quick burst of cold. This fridge is also ENERGY STAR-certified, which means you can save money on your energy bills. However, it lacks some convenience features, such as a temperature-controlled meat/deli bin and a light in the freezer. The storage performance is only average.
